We checked into this hostel yesterday, and gonna stay there for at least one week, for the reason I mentioned in my last post =S.We stayed in this hostel before, not long after we first arrived into Auckland, before we flew to Queenstown.
I thought I should have already got used to staying in hostel already...since heck,I've already been staying in numerous hostels for one and a half months now.But this time I checked into a 10 beds dorm room!Imagine 10 people sharing a dorm room, there's hardly any privacy left for everyone.
But there's the pros too, that we can meet with more people. Not long after I checked in,I acquainted myself with this English couple who stayed in the same room as us.They've been to so many countries and its fun just to chat with them and get some little insights into these countries they've travelled to.Like they told me that a can of coke in Australia is much more expensive than in England, amazing!
Maybe I should curi-curi snap a pic of my dorm room and show it here next time hahaa.I think that despite the privacy issue, the room is alright, because after yesterday night,I know that no one in the room snores (besides maybe me or my friends hahaaa);and although the room can be a bit stuffy, its alright too 'cos I can just put away my blanket.
A little positive attitude can get me far eh?ahahahaa.
Auckland library will be closed for 4 days for the new year holiday, but thank god that their free wifi is still working! The bad news is,there is no place to sit outside of the library, unless you want to sit on the pavement near the library entrance.Fortunately the cafe besides the library is still open, and you can connect to the library wifi network from there. But unfortunately the menu in the cafe ain't cheap! So these few days I have to pay for some breakfast in this cafe to use the library's free wifi, which would cost me around 7-8 dollars for each visit. That's the price to pay for not willing to sit on the pavement =p
This is how my breakfast looked like this morning.
Hot Chocolate and Bacon-Egg & Cheese Sandwich
I ordered Latte yesterday, and Americano the day before.I think that today's hot chocolate is the best.Maybe i'm just not a coffee person.
I've been reading this book I got from Warehouse's boxing day sales,The Queen's Fool by Philippa Gregory. It only cost me 7 dollars, but I think it was quite an interesting read.He is also the author for The Other Boleyn Girl,so I guess one can expect good Tudor court fiction out of him.Hopefully I can finish this book before I leave NZ hahaa.
Cheers!
